Hanbin Luo is a Professor and Director of Department of Construction Management at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China. His main areas of research and teaching include information technologies in construction management, real estate development and investment, and engineering risks and safety management. He serves as a member of the Disciplinary Steering Committee for Construction Management in Colleges and Universities, a Council Member of the Architectural Society of China-Construction Management Research Society, and a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). Professor Luo has won the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 2^nd Prize, among other Ministry and Province prizes for his research on Key Technologies of Computer-integrated Management System of Rail Transit Construction, and other research on construction management.
